Winners #DIYchallenge – National Embroidery Month

Thank you so much for all the beautiful entries in this week’s #DIYchallenge. Embroidery can be a challenging skill but we are so happy to see that a lot of you tried for the first time!

This week’s winners are:

Jill Lewis

#DIYChallenge#nationalembroiderymonth bead embroidery on hand dyed silk. This was a fun project out of my comfort zone. The challenge definitely inspired me.

Chicogal Maulik

#DIY Challenge, #National Embroidery Month This is my entry for the month. I beaded a butterfly using mostly seed beads, and a couple of other sizes of beads. I took a canvas and put a Gelli print design on it. I used wire for the antennas and added some DIY crystals to add sparkle. I love doing bead embroidery as you can make it as real to life as you want or make it abstract. It’s fun to use whatever materials you have on hand to help the design. (The black/white rope is really a shoelace!) My sister has a wonderful flower garden that attracts butterflies all the time.
