  • Paperclip Cups and Beads!

Welcome to the third installation of crafty office supplies. This weeks’ project are paperclip cups. The projects feature seed beads used in a chevron pattern cross stitch and strung into bead balls. Inspired by the colorful bead balls I’ve seen used in earrings and bracelets I thought I’d give it a try. I don’t claim to be an expert at making bead balls, in fact this was one of my first tries at it, but they were so much fun to make I think I might make more and cover the entire cup in ...

  • Crystal Visions

The acrylics program we offer is just chock full of great pieces that transcend common jewelry materials. These unique shapes and colors are very lightweight and can be strung in clusters for a multitude of designs. You can incorporate acrylics into earrings without having them weigh down and stretch your earlobes. One of the pink cups was spray painted with gold and metallic spray paints to coordinate with the metallic seed beads.

    For the black pencil ...

  • Sew it on!

It’s time to raid your closet. Reach into that forgotten back corner and rejuvenate some neglected blouses, tanks, halters and stretched out t-shirts. How often do you find yourself in a department store that is displaying an embellished designer blouse and think, “I could do something way more inspired and save a bundle in the process?” Well, this blog post is for you. It was modeled after popular shirts from designers like Rachael Roy that sell in Neiman Marcus for anywhere from $50 to $200. Fortunately for many of you, your creativity gene won’t allow you ...
